Equine Assisted Growth, Learning and Education (EAGLE) is a collaborative effort between a mental health therapist, equine specialist and horses. Horse Medicine's programs combine Equine Assisted Learning and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAL/EAP) to facilitate their mission.
Participants of the EAGLE program interact with horses in unmounted, on-the-ground exercises such as guiding a horse through an obstacle course without the use of a lead rope, halter or touching the horse. Keeping the activities on the ground allows participants to discover for themselves what is needed in order to succeed not only within the context of the exercise but also within the context of life.
